April 13 - Rwanda Day

Last summer actress Diane Lane and her daughter, Eleanor, went on a Heifer study tour to Rwanda, where they witnessed a “Passing on the Gift” ceremony in which 58 recipients of Heifer cows gave offspring of their livestock to other families in their community in an act of love and reconciliation. They have been passionate Heifer supporters ever since. Watch the video and hear them describe their experience.
